Yeah New York, Yeah Big Apple!

Think I may use what little time I have left before I jet off to quickly post. In the next hour I'm leaving for NY, and for once I'm actually packed and organised more than 10 minutes before we leave the house. I'm actually sitting around waiting to leave - this is surely a first!
It's been a crazy and somewhat upsetting 24 hours, but I think I'm back to being happy and excited about having a good time!

Last night I was sitting at the beach in an OC-style display of [fruitless] teen angst. Although unlike Newport, it must have been about 3 degrees... I suddenly saw 2 orange fireworks/flares followed by a repetitive, rhythmic flashing light. I know I love a drama, but I was honestly convinced that I could save someone in danger at sea and I was finally going to get a Pride of Britain award. I was properly freaking out!
I phoned the police, who put me through to the coastguard who informed me that it was military aircraft patrolling the coast. But 'WELL DONE!' for calling anyway. Gutted!

I've got a lovely, HUGE, black leather holdall packed and my iPhone loaded with Grand designs; I'm probably going to put MK and A to shame!

Return

So, after 3 months and constant persuasion from my darling friend Hetty, I've decided to rejoin the world of blogging. It's rather odd to get used to again, but I suppose I must persevere. I've clearly got a low boredom threshold; this is about the forth time I've restarted this blog! I've tried different colours and layouts, urls, blog titles and nothing has worked but hopefully the peer pressure I've been receiving will give me the push!

I guess I'll start as I mean to go on:

Today was rather uneventful, just had college as usual. I keep doing this thing where I'm completely unaware of what's even happening in my life on a Monday morning, it's like I just get up in my usual bad temper and don't even think about what I'm doing or where I'm going before I run out the door. Par exemple, the past 2 weeks I've turned up for Guidance before realising that I wasn't actually supposed to have been there. I could enjoyed another 2 hours in my bed and actually taken time to wash my hair properly as opposed to putting my head over the side of the bath as is becoming the norm. Then today, I totally rushed from the (late) train to get to college on time, only to realise that I was a half hour early - quel dommage!

I also forgot my bank card today, possibly lost. Who knows really? The state that my bedroom is in right now I wouldn't be surprised if I never see it again. I had to rely on Hetty's wallet today to survive, and I found the warnings to cancel my card from the overly enthusiastic Marks & Spencer employee rather touching, if a little creepy...

I came home early from college after being allowed to leave for passing an Int2 Communication assessment the previous week. The faux-jolly lecturer told me that it was possibly the best and most detailed response he'd ever seen at the course level - awess!

Watched the first episode of "I'd Do Anything" this evening. I love the BBC talent scouting shows and hope this one is as camp as the previous.

That's enough. I'm totes tired.
