I need a little fabulous is that so wrong?!

Loved this weekend!
On Friday night a few friends came over and we watched High School Musical 2 with my sister!
Saturday I worked all day, then I had a flatwarming in town for one of my friends. It was so fun! Just a bunch of girls and a bunch of wine!
I'm stressing a little about my inspiration boards I have to finish in college this week. I've been lazy and barely done anything!
But it's fine, nothing can upset me when Paris is on the horizon. I truly believe it's where I'm made to be. I love French, I try my hardest to read in French, Speak in French and do as the french do. I spend a lot of time in France, and I know no country more lovely or fabulous!
It's my dream come true to be fluent. Which hopefully will come true when I get to my placement year in Uni. I can just imagine it now, riding a bike along the banks of the Seine, eating bagettes and drinking really strong, proper coffee.

The New Chanel Ad.

I LOVE it! Just saw it yesterday, don't know exactly how long it's been out for, but I think it's lovely. They way it's shot, the music and the dress. The whole thing is so chic, beautiful and the ending just sums up youth! The way she walks away from the man shows she's young, in control and happy with her self.

Vive la Mademoiselle!

You're the Boss, Applesauce!

Finally, after what seems a lifetime of waiting, I've seen Factory Girl. When they first started filming I was so excited that they'd be making a film based on the lives of two of the people who I've been extremely interested in for as long as I can remember, however, after waiting a year for it to be completed, then counting down the days 'til it's opening at cinemas it seemed as though it wasn't meant to be. No Cinemas within a 200 mile radius of my town were to be screening Factory Girl - devastation!

I watched clips and trailers on youtube, looked it up on imdb and google for as much information about the acting and the, more importantly, the costumes! But it just wasn't the same! This week, the DVD was released in the UK and yesterday I nipped out on my lunch break and fought through rainstorms and rude people to acquire my copy.

And I thought that it really lived up to all I'd hoped. Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce were glorious in their roles and I felt that Sienna really epitomised Edie and listening to old recordings of her and comparing photos, I thought she was fabulous and I was really able to envisage Edie, Warhol and the Factory. I also really enjoyed the short clip of Mary-Kate towards the start of the movie, she looked ever so glamorous!
I loved all of the outfits Sienna wore in the film, a gorgeous mix of eclectic and chic which Edie was so famous for.

And don't you think that the dress Sienna wore to the London premiere was stunning?! One of my favourite on her ever and I love how she wore the signature Sedgwick tights!

Holler if you hear me, Hey! Can I get a Witness!

I don't care what anyone has to say, Britney is awesome!
She went through a tough time and everyone was so negative, but that's society for you. No sympathy for those with obvious mental health issues. That being said, her VMA performance was pretty poor and also a little obscene!
Back to my original point. I LOVE her new songs, they're all over youtube and everyday at college I'll roll over to the IT centre to look up some pretty pictures and rock out to Britters!
Today was an ok day, I was feeling slightly better and the man voice was slightly less manly. Mondays are actually my favourite day at college because we have some of the best classes; textile design for fashion and furnishings based on a period from 1850 to 1980; fashion illustration, and fashion design based on a theme of your choice (I'm doing Marie Antoinette)

Stumbling through the latest issue of Harper's on my lunch break yesterday I came across a black leather, biker jacket from the A/W 07 Kate Moss for Topshop collection. It's gorgeous! very well cut and reasonably priced. However, I already have a jacket similar which Santa brought me last year and I couldn't part from that! All in all the A/W collection seems a LOT more inspiring than the debut collection which I found to be boring and dull, it's still quite plain and those infuriating vest tops remain but as a whole its definitely improved.

Here is the aforementioned jacket and some other pieces which I quite like;

Anyway, It's pretty late where I live and I've got a driving lesson at 7am tomorrow morning. So I'll leave you with a bit of Ms.Spears!

It's Fantastic! Obnoxious, but Fabulous!

Ewwwww!

Seriously, I feel so, so ill right now! I have a terrible cold, a sore head, lost my voice and I have been working all day. How annoying!
Anyway, enough of the self pity! It's so...pathetic. Last night a friend and I went out for tea and my pretty new dress got it's first outing. I was having a slight shoe dilemma; the dress needed a heel, it just couldn't take flats, especially not with the height I am! However, being addicted to high heels, I just discovered last night, I have nothing medium height, I really need to add them to my 'to buy' list because there are now times when an extremely high heel just won't be suitable. In the end I found a cute pair of gold/pink kitten heeled pumps which I bought when I was about 14. The did the job even though I think kitten heels look a little ridiculous! I think the outfit looked really pretty, plain but classic. You can't really go wrong with a great LBD!

Mmmm that's hot!

My day today was pretty good. Got up showered and then My dad and I hit the shops with first port of call being, of course, TKMaxx. I couldn't stay away, the allure of marc, miu miu and prada at bargain prices was all too much to handle! However, upon my arrival, I saw what appeared to be the few items they got in, a few miu miu sweaters and a couple of hideous, old ladyish prada tops. Eugh! I was making my way to the fitting rooms to try the miu miu sweaters when I saw a reeally gorgeous See by Chloe dress; 100% silk and only £100! I tried it on and it looked so flattering and high quality that I had to have it, and it's now hanging pride of place in my newly, immaculatly organised wardrobe!
After this we went to the Contemporary Arts centre for lunch, it was SUCH a nice day today that we decided to sit outside and I had these devine Thai fish cakes with a Sweet Chilli and Soy Dipping Sauce. Yummers!
We hit Zara to pick up these ankles boots I have been lusting after since Cannes but, alas, they didn't have them, I'm going to have to do a total mish to find these now!
Tonight I went to Pilates and did some work on my inspiration boards for my fashion design course. All in all in was a good day. Not looking forward to tomorrow though, I have life drawing which I dislike, then I have to go into work at 5.30 for a stock check which will go on until 9 pm! Gutted!

My life this week...

Has so far consisted of two days au college where I am studying (and loving!) fashion and textiles and one day cleaning the house, having a singing lesson and enjoying my little sister's birthday. This is my second week into the course and I think it's just great! So far I have particularly enjoyed fashion illustration and fashion design, for which my theme is the wonderful Marie Antoinette with whom I am obsessed and Ms. Coppola's delightfully colourful and vivid film only helped to enhance this obsession!
Tomorrow mon pere et moi are going shopping, I can't wait! I was tipped off by the Sunday Times Style Magazine this weekend that TK Maxx is rumoured to be getting in a huge shipment of Miu Miu, Prada and my one true love, Marc Jacobs.
How lovely!
